1: BetterPushback Plugin

This is a pushback plugin for the X-Plane 11 flight simulator. It provides an overhead view to plan a pushback route and accomplishes a fully automated "hands-off" pushback, letting the user focus on aircraft startup and other pilot duties during pushback. It can of course also tow you forward, or perform any arbitrarily complicated pushback operation. To increase immersion, it speaks to you in a variety of languages and accents, simulating ground staff at various places around the world.

2: FlyWithLua NG Next Generation - V.2.7.28

FlyWithLua offers a rapid development system to get in deep into X-Plane. An easy to understand, detailed manual is included. FlyWithLua will support all platforms, Windows, Linux and Mac, and it will support X-Plane 9 and X-Plane 10. A script can be used on all platforms by default, without the need of re-editing. This let's you share scripts with friends using other systems.

FlyWithLua uses LuaJIT as a compiler. This results in very fast code execution, much faster than the original Lua interpreter. FlyWithLua is ready to be used by anybody, no matter if you are a beginner or an experienced Lua developer.

3: X-LIFE TRAFFIC Plugin

X-Life generates a realistic ground and air traffic, based on the principles of real-life aircraft movements. Each aircraft operated by the AI pilot. All aircraft are controlled by ATC. Algorithms of ground-routes building will avoid conflicts and based on data from apt.dat sceneries files.

4: Landing Rate Monitor

Landing Speed plugin grades quality of landing. It shows vertical speed at the moment of touch down in feet per minute and meters per second as well as textual grade of landing quality. Plugin was tested with X-Plane 10.21 but should work well with other X-Plane 10 and 9 versions. This *requires* the appropriate FlyWithLua NG plugin for your version of X-Plane. Please consult the HOW TO INSTALL.txt file, and replace any old versions of the LandingRate you might have.

5: HeadShake G-Force effects

HeadShake is an X-Plane 11 and 10 free and open source camera plugin which adds some nice POV effects while flying in virtual cockpit view. G-Force effects : Basing on the g forces currently acting on the airplane, the cockpit view is moved around to simulate the pilot head’s inertia. The movements are filtered to avoid sudden shifts so the entire experience is really smooth.

6: AutoGate Plugin

This plugin animates jetways and docking guidance systems (DGS) in scenery packages that have been authored using the AutoGate development kit.

For X-Plane 9 or later on Windows XP or later, MacOS 10.5 or later, and Linux.

9: AviTab VR - compatible tablet with PDF viewer

Need a moving map or PDF charts inside the cockpit that is also usable in VR? Maybe this is the plugin you're searching for.

AviTab is a tablet for your cockpit with full support for X-Plane's native VR mode and the normal 2D mode. The screenshots were taken in standalone mode to get a high resolution, but you can have the same window as a native plugin window in X-Plane! Requires X-Plane 11.20+ (VR or 2D both work) on Windows, Linux or OS X

10: Terrain radar + Vertical Situation Display

The plugin adds terrain radar feature (with peaks mode). Now Plugin work in two modes: integration into the navigation display (see the list of supported aircrafts) and overlay window (all other aircrafts)

11: Vivid Sky

This is the sky textures from my xVision preset so they can be used standalone or with other plugins. Not tested with Reshade but should work well. If you are using xVision it may still work by replacing the textures of your chosen preset with these, but don't expect perfect results.

14: Ortho4xp

Users who like to fly with orthophoto based sceneries may be interested in the free software Ortho4XP. It has been developed in the last few months and has evolved according to the feed-back from participants of the french forum x-plane.fr. Being mostly Python based, it is also cross-platform, at least Linux, OS X and Windows. The software only concentrates on building a base mesh and its textures. The complexity of both is user configurable directly within the graphical interface, and the process does not rely on Meshtool or DSFTool but uses its own meshing and encoding algorithms. To get nice flying conditions, you could marry it with tiles generated from tools which only concentrate on overlays to the base mesh, like e.g. World2XPlane and its very promising recent evolution.

15: ASHA - Advanced Shadows And Appearance

ASHA is as a sophisticated fix for the jagged shadows issue in X-Plane that now includes some bonus tracks to both fix additional graphical aspects and add new features. Tested in 11.41 and 11.50 with Vulkan and OpenGL. Previous releases should work too.

• Make sure you have the FlyWithLua plugin installed. If you don't, have a look at the bottom for a link to FlyWithLua.
• Drop asha.lua in YOUR_XPLANE_FOLDER/Resources/plugins/FlyWithLua/Scripts
• Done!

17: X-RAAS: Runway Awareness and Advisory System

X-RAAS is an open-source plugin that simulates the Honeywell Runway Awareness and Advisory System. Version 2.0 is a complete from the ground-up rewrite of the original X-RAAS FlyWithLua plugin. Please note that this is not just an upgrade of the old plugin and cannot be simply downloaded and plastered over the old 1.0 version. See below for details on how to install this plugin.

18: European Road Lights

In Austria (and many other European countries), the highways are not continuously illuminated. Unfortunately, X-Plane displays street lighting also outside of towns.
