Update! MSFS2020 - ATR 72-600 Freeware Aircraft [Working Cockpit] - V.0.6.6

 



The ATR 72 is a twin-engine turboprop, short-haul regional airliner developed and produced in France and Italy by aircraft manufacturer ATR (Aerei da Trasporto Regionale or Avions de transport régional), a joint venture formed by French aerospace company Aérospatiale (now Airbus) and Italian aviation conglomerate Aeritalia (now Leonardo S.p.A.). The number "72" in its name is derived from the aircraft's standard seating configuration in a passenger-carrying configuration, which could seat 72–78 passengers in a single-class arrangement.

During the 1980s, French aerospace company Aérospatiale and Italian aviation conglomerate Aeritalia merged their work on a new generation of regional aircraft. For this purpose, a new jointly owned company was established, ATR, for the purpose of developing, manufacturing, and marketing their first airliner, which was later designated as the ATR 42. On 16 August 1984, the first model of the series, designated as the ATR 42-300, performed the type's maiden flight. During the mid-1980s, the ATR 72 was developed as a stretched variant of the ATR 42. On 27 October 1989, Finnish airline Finnair became the first airline to operate the type in revenue service. The ATR 72 has also been used as a corporate transport, cargo aircraft, and maritime patrol aircraft.

              This is a total remake of ATR72 for FSX by Virtualcol, which was released as payware initially. Animations and flight dynamics have been reproduced from scratch, ground interactions have been added, and all the lights have been made working. It can be cosidered a native FS2020 aircraft rather than just a converted model, and no more "_CVT_" folder would be generated. In FS2020, the doors of aircraft need a connection with ground vehicles or jetway to let it open, in the case of ATR the rear exit would be opened at the same time with baggage door upon requesting baggage services from ground frequencies, if there is one.               For those who have hardware throttle panel installed, you should put the engine switch to "OFF" BEFORE starting simulation to prevent the starter from being unable to switch off, otherwise the battery will be drained off in several minutes. This is a bug of the Kingair panel. It is chosen as the cockpit for the new version over CJ4 because it works better with turboprop aircraft. However, in this moment I should admit that we don't have enough resource and know-how for making a custom cockpit. It is far more complicated than those for FSX or before.

              3. Totally love this Plane. You could make use of the Spoiler Lever for it's Feathering. Also I compared Modern Flight Model to Legacy which the latter has better Pitch/Roll reality but suffers some severe ground effect on approach if we lift off throttle with Full Flaps. I far prefer it in Modern as all others but I must take care on the Pitch. Can that be tamed down by half?

              5. I can't see the Wings/Props from looking out of the Cockpit. This would be amazing. Is there a way to edit the Pitch for when we only use Modern Flight Mode to negate switching for this?

              15. v2.4.2 was much better until it wasn't compatible with WT. This one spawns 20ft infront of the Cockpit. Going back to the CJ4 one.

              17. CJ4 cockpit is better actually, i have try to use the king air sound and the only things problem is overspeed sound appeared cause the red line is on 150knot, if someone can solve that problem both engine will sound as real as it.
