[Simulator News] Gaya Released Kristiansand Airport for MSFS

Scenery developer team Gaya Simulations has released Kristiansand Airport, ICAO: ENCN, for the Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport opened in June 1939 and it’s located about 8 kilometers (5.0 mi) from the center of Kristiansand, Norway. During the Second World War, it was occupied and expanded by the Luftwaffe. Nowadays it has a 2,035-meter (6,677 ft) runway aligned 03-21 and scheduled flights are provided by Scandinavian Airlines, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Widerøe, KLM Cityhopper, and Wizz Air. The Royal Norwegian Air Force has a training center at the airport.

Approach over the sea or through a narrow valley, Kristiansand has it all, with both ILS and RNAV approaches available for those looking to jet off to Norway for a holiday and service to major hubs and tourism hotspots. Seeing 737s, A320s, E-Jets, Q8s in airline traffic alone, it’s safe to say that Kjevik is not the quaint rural field its surroundings make it seem like, making this product perfect for simmers who like flying IFR and visiting beautiful airports, not to forget the beautiful landscape for VFR cross country flights.
